TEMECULA - The South Coast Air Quality Management District plans to introduce eight devices for monitoring air pollution, including one to be stationed in Temecula.
A spokesman for the agency said the station could be set up some time late next year.
The new stations in Temecula, Mission Viejo, Santa Clarita and Crestline will join 14 other stations the agency now operates. It's also planning to add four mobile monitors to test air quality in the vicinity of wildfires and other temporary sources of pollution.
The agency's board approved $225,000 on Friday to cover the new monitors.
