TEMECULA -- The Temecula Valley International Film & Music Festival released the names of several Lifetime Achievement Award recipients Tuesday to be honored at the festival scheduled Sept. 12 to 16.

Festival organizers announced rhythm and blues legend Smokey Robinson will accept his award during the festival's black-tie gala at the Pechanga Resort and Casino on the festival's closing night. Robinson had numerous hits over four decades and as an executive with Motown Records, he produced hits for The Temptations, Marvin Gaye and Mary Wells.

The festival also will honor Robert Rosen for his contributions to education and film preservation. Rosen is dean of the UCLA Film and Television School. He, along with director Martin Scorcese, organized The Film Foundation, an organization committed to film preservation.

Festival organizers will honor Temecula Valley resident Eve Craig with a Lifetime Achievement Award for her contributions to the advancement of arts and culture in this area. Craig has chaired the Temecula Arts Festival for numerous years, has served as president of the Arts Council and been president of the Hollywood Bowl Patroness Committee.
