Ruptured line sends sewage into creek

TEMECULA - A ruptured 10-inch sewer line sent about 800,000 gallons of untreated sewage into Murrieta Creek on Tuesday morning, officials said.

The spill was reported about 10:15 a.m. at 28076 Diaz Road, according to the Riverside County Health Services Agency.

The leak was stopped and has been inspected by health officials, according to the news release.

Officials said the sewage spill is being cleaned up.
