TEMECULA -- Authorities are seeking information on a car accident that occurred late Monday and left one driver with major head trauma and several others with minor injuries.
At about 10:30 p.m. Monday, 30-year-old Temecula resident Tobias Theil sped through a red light at Margarita and Moraga roads in a Ford Expedition, according to a release issued by the Temecula Police Department on Tuesday.
While the Expedition was heading north on Moraga through the intersection, two other cars -- a Chevrolet Suburban and a Pontiac Sunfire -- entered the intersection going west on Margarita, the release states. The Expedition then hit the Suburban, causing that vehicle to hit the Sunfire, according to the release.
Theil was taken to Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar, then transferred by helicopter to Loma Linda University Medical Center, while the drivers and passengers of the Suburban and Sunfire were treated for minor injuries at Inland Valley, the release states.
Anyone with information on the accident is encouraged to call (951) 696-3000.
