VALLEY CENTER ---- A 41-year-old Fallbrook woman suffered life-threatening injuries Sunday morning when her car headed off Highway 76 and crashed through a wooden fence, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The woman, whose identity was not released, was heading west on the highway, east of Valley Center Road when she drifted to the right and then swerved across eastbound lanes, CHP Sgt. Ken Perez said.

The car, a Toyota sedan, went off the road and hit a wooden fence, Perez said. According to initial reports on the CHP Web site, which Perez could not immediately confirm, the car also hit a horse stall.

The woman was taken to Palomar Medical Center. She was alone in the car, and wearing her seatbelt at the time of the 10:28 a.m. crash, Perez said; neither drugs or alcohol are suspected factors in the crash, he said.
