WILDOMAR -- The area's general plan, a document that details where new businesses and housing developments could be built, will be discussed during a workshop scheduled for Saturday afternoon by the Wildomar City Council-elect.
The workshop will be held at 3 p.m. in the lobby of the Arrowhead Credit Union Wealth Center, 36100 Hidden Springs Road, Suite C.
The presentation will be led by interim Wildomar staff members and Stan Smith, a member of the general plan committee of Wildomar residents and landowners who helped shape the county's plan for the area.
A new city has two choices when incorporating: Adopt a county's general plan or operate without one while working to craft one from scratch, according to the Wildomar interim city attorney.
The majority of the council-elect, which will be seated as the inaugural city council July 1, supports adopting the county's general plan and tweaking it as needed in the future.
