WILDOMAR ---- The economy is continuing to take a toll on Wildomar's tax revenues, according to a midyear analysis scheduled for the City Council's review on Wednesday.
The meeting starts at 7 p.m. in City Hall, 23873 Clinton Keith Road in Oak Creek Center.
According to Assistant City Manager Gary Nordquist's analysis, property tax revenues are coming in about 5 percent less than projected for this budget year ending June 30. The lower level of revenues comes despite the fact that the original projection was 10 percent lower than the actual revenues for the year ending in June 2009, Nordquist's report states.
Still, based on the first six months of the year, the midyear review calls for only minor reductions to stay in balance. Nordquist is proposing a reduction of $14,600 in spending to $9. 03 million for the year and a $7,100 reduction in revenues to $9.36 million.
