As Californians mail in their ballots and prepare to go to the polls to pick their nominee this primary season, they are confronted with serious questions: With all of the big challenges we face, which candidate has a track record of delivering results, and who will be the best president?

For many reasons, that candidate is Hillary Clinton.

As a children's advocate, first lady and United States senator, Hillary has dedicated her life to helping families with the challenges they face. She has been passionately committed to providing better opportunities to children and has been determined in her resolve to honor the men and women who have served our country. Her commitment to providing affordable, quality health care to all Americans is a further demonstration of her lifelong commitment to doing what is right for the people of this country.

Every American deserves a healthy life with preventative care. People who have insurance and can afford it get the treatment they need, but those who don't, are forgotten. Under the existing health care system, women are more vulnerable to losing coverage as they are more likely to work part-time or be insured as dependents.

Sen. Clinton's American Health Choices Plan will enable 47 million uninsured Americans to receive health insurance, which includes the 6.6 million Californians who have no health insurance. California has the highest number of uninsured citizens and the number of uninsured has only gone up since President Bush took office.

Hillary has long fought for health care reform and her record speaks volumes to her deep commitment. After the health care reform effort failed in the 1990s, Hillary took what she learned and helped create the State Children's Health Insurance Program. As a United States senator, she led a bipartisan effort, worked hard and got legislation passed that provides access to health care for National Guard and Reserve members.

Our nation is at a crossroads, and as American citizens we have the ability to make the necessary changes in guaranteeing the best future for ourselves and our children. It is no secret that Hillary has long been a champion for women and families and is not afraid to stand up for what she believes is right.

I have often heard that to know what someone will do, just look at what they have done. Hillary Clinton is my candidate and I believe that through her 35 years of experience fighting and delivering results for America's families, not only will she make the best president, she will enter the Oval Office and get to work on day one solving America's problems.
