Many of the top synchronized swimmers from this and five other countries will descend upon the Poway Community Swim Center this week for the U.S. Open Synchronized Swimming Championships.
More than 350 of the nation's top synchronized swimmers are scheduled to take part in competitions beginning today and running through Saturday. The second-tier U.S. national team and the junior national team will compete.
Swimmers representing Singapore, Canada, China, Japan and Chile are scheduled to take part, as will representatives of Puerto Rico.
