At a glance: This will be the sixth series of the season between the Storm and Quakes. Lake Elsinore leads the season series, 11-7, and the Storm led the Quakes by 10 games in the wild-card race through Thursday….Two of the Storm's new additions for the second half of the season have been tearing it up at the plate. First baseman Matt Clark is batting .394 and right fielder Sawyer Carroll is batting .344 since being promoted from low Class A Fort Wayne after the all-star break. However, the Storm's other two call-ups aren't quite doing as well. Third baseman James Darnell is batting .214 and starting pitcher Nick Schmidt is 0-2 with a 12.91 earned-run average….Quakes pitcher Michael Anton will be making his first start this season at the Class A level Saturday after being demoted from Double-A Arkansas, where he went 2-6 with a 4.07 earned-run average.
