Swami among those without blemishes

Swami wears a turban and a smug look.

Entering Week 6 in this wacky NFL season, there are four undefeated outfits: Patriots, Colts, Cowboys and one Swami of Cardiff.

Five weeks running, Guest Pickers have fallen short in taking down the Swami.

This week, Swami wiggled into the web at nctimes.com to find a prognosticator to attempt to knock him from the ranks of the unblemished.

Robert Stamos caught Swami's eye for a couple of reasons: he's a Raiders fan, he's a few letters off being among the Chargers' ownership family - think Spanos - and he's a Yankees fan living in the heart of Queens.

It's easy to see this guy is a tad mixed-up.

Just like those tracking his favorite team.

"It's like a fraternity for lunatics," Stamos said of Raider Nation. "We're as messed up as everyone thinks we are."

Stamos isn't dumb, putting his mind to work for Citibank. Each work day he makes the stop-and-go, six-mile, two-hour commute into Citibank's Brooklyn offices. Stamos is vice president of something or another, crunching numbers, shuffling charts and data around and trying to look busy on the phone.

In reality, the 49-year-old is counting the hours until his beloved Raiders draw their next penalty or have a player arrested.

Stamos is in San Diego today, wearing his black Raiders jacket and gold Yankees necklace. He's confident the Raiders will end their seven-game losing streak at the hands of the Bolts.

"Definitely," Stamos said. "The Chargers are overrated."

Stamos was also certain the Yanks would win world title No. 27 and Joe Torre would sign a contract extension.

Not in a New York minute, young man.

And the Raiders upsetting the Chargers? Hey Stamos, fahgetaboutit!!! Remember, coach Norv Turner takes aim at his first two-game Chargers winning streak.

"Turner?" Stamos squealed, after witnessing Turner's 9-23 Oakland debacle.

"All I can say about Turner being their coach is better them than us."

Swami hears Stamos popping off, which happens when your team is atop the AFC West. Funny, but the Raiders once bragged about being in first place at the season's end. These days, Raiders backers are yapping about being in the penthouse on Oct. 14.

Of course, that beats being in the hoosgow, where Raiders followers are often housed.

Sorry, Robert - is he smiling? The Swami is always grinnin' when it's time to get pickin'. Let's start before Stamos' parole officer calls, wondering why he's in the 619 instead of the 212.

- Vikings at Bears: (Bears; Stamos picks Vikings) Vikings showing plenty of fight - with each other.

- Eagles at Jets: (Eagles; Stamos picks Jets) J-E-T-S are a M-E-S-S.

- Dolphins at Browns: (Dolphins; Stamos picks Browns) Despite QB Lemon, Swami not sour on Miami finally winning.

- Redskins at Packers: (Packers; Stamos picks Packers) Favre nears another milestone - most career INTs.

- Bengals at Chiefs: (Bengals; Stamos picks Bengals) What's my line? That's what Larry Johnson wonders.

- Titans at Buccaneers: (Titans; Stamos picks Titans) Why is Gruden frowning? Check out his running backs.

- Texans at Jaguars: (Texans; Stamos picks Jags) Sniff an upset here - or is that Stamos' Raiders cologne from 2006: Chanel 2-14.

- Panthers at Cardinals: (Cardinals; Stamos picks Cardinals) No mirage - Cards have won four of five in the desert.

- Patriots at Cowboys: (Patriots; Stamos picks Pats) Romo's turnover act won't play against the Pats.

- Raiders at Chargers: (Chargers; Stamos picks Raiders) Biggest winner here? King Stahlman, the bail bonds guru.

- Saints at Seahawks: (Seahawks; Stamos picks Seahawks) This just in! There's no proof Bush's parents also had a house in Puget Sound.

- Giants at Falcons: (Giants: Stamos picks Giants) Cool matchup here with Eli vs. Vick - at least that's what the ESPN suits once thought.

- Swami: (Last week 10-3; overall 48-27); Guest Picker Jeff Williams: (8-5; GPs overall 42-33).
