The Cal-bound senior ran 8 minutes, 53.78 seconds to finish second in the 3,200 meters at the CIF state championships, the No. 2 time in the state this season.

The senior headed to UC Davis closed out his career by throwing 54-2 3/4 inches to take seventh at the CIF state championships.

The senior shot a 5-under 67 to tie for third at the CIF Southern California Regional and qualify as an individual for the CIF state championships this week at Poppy Hills Golf Course in Pebble Beach.

La Costa Canyon -- Boys golf

He shot an even-par 72 to tie for 23rd at the CIF Southern California Regional and help La Costa Canyon to the team title, and one of the three Southern California berths in the CIF state championships.

Keegan Yuhl

Poway - Baseball

The workhorse of the playoffs, the junior right-hander threw six shutout innings against Rancho Bernardo in Round 4 of the CIF San Diego Section Division I playoffs. He came back two days later and hurled 3 2/3 shutout innings and picked up the win as the Titans beat Rancho Bernardo for the title.

The junior first baseman went 6-for-6 in CIF San Diego Section Division I playoff wins over Rancho Bernardo and Rancho Buena Vista. He had four RBIs in the semis against RB and had a double and RBI in the title game against RBV.

The junior center fielder was 5-for-7 in CIF San Diego Section Division I playoff wins over Rancho Bernardo and Rancho Buena Vista. He was 2-for-4 against RB and 3-for-3 with the game-winning RBI in the bottom of the seventh in the title game against RBV.

The junior right-hander threw a two-hit shutout, striking out seven against Poway in Round 4 of the CIF San Diego Section Division I playoffs to keep the Broncos alive.
