Valley Center's defense has been the stingiest scoring defense in the North County this season, allowing just 8.6 points per game. Ramona's offense has been among the most prolific, putting up 34.6 points per game. The Bulldogs like to pound it out with a run-based attack featuring Ryan Morgan (1,015 yards, 13 TDs) and Tyler Jackson (635 yards, 12 TDs). Senior quarterback Erik Ernst averages just over 100 yards passing per game. His big-play target is Seth Drake (23.5 yards per catch, 4 TDs), who is also a starting safety (three interceptions). ... Stanton Upson is the North County's busiest running back with 222 attempts, an average of just under 32 carries per game, and ranks second with 1,241 rushing yards. ... Jaguars DE Tom Jauregui (seven sacks) and cornerback Tommy Aguillar (three interceptions) are part of an aggressive defense that has allowed the opposition as many as 10 points just twice this season.
